Ulan bator Mongolia

We didn't sleep a wink before our wake up call to catch our first leg of the Trans Siberian which we anticipated with fear and excitement. How small were the cabins, how would we fare with no shower, would we have fun passengers, would the food cabin bring with it some shady characters smoking their cigarettes and making deals while romantic Russian music played in the background.  Well, after 24 hours in the train, we have loved every minute.  We loved meeting people from all over the world. We kept an open door policy in our cabin and celebrated life on the train.  The carriage attendants were stone faced and did little to help us but there was always hot water from their boiler with a thermos in each room.  We took over the hallways hanging out, playing games and jumping from carriage to carriage. The time flew by so we are not just surviving, we are thriving!!
